Less than 24 hours after mentally disturbed soldier, Ivan Lopez killed three people at Fort Hood, gun control activists have already begun using this tragedy to push a partisan agenda.
Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group put out a statement last night quickly turned from condolences to politics: “Days like this remind us that killers with illegal guns murder 33 more people every day across America.”
The founder of ‘Moms Demand Action‘ tweeted last night, “When will Congress take action to end the war at home?”
And finally, now unemployed former CNN host Piers Morgan took to twitter to spew, “‘If only there’d been a good guy with a gun…’ – such crap. This #FortHood soldier/shooter WAS a good guy. Until he turned bad, with a gun.”
