Former Rhode Island Senator Lincoln Chafee has begun his unlikely path to the Oval Office, officially challenging Hillary Clinton.  Chafee has had a unique history, the one time Republican became an independent and finally a Democrat. Here is some of the media coverage of Lincoln’s event.

Business Insider: Chafee Talks to a Half Empty Room

Former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee (D) just launched his presidential campaign in room 134 of the Founders Hall at the George Mason University School of Policy, Government, and International Affairs.

Chafee’s announcement took place during a previously scheduled foreign policy speech.

And though he was launching a huge political endeavor, Chafee kept things fairly low-key with no accoutrements other than his campaign logo, which was projected on a screen behind him.
