My Obamacare Federal Lawsuit

All the President’s men believe that an average American citizen doesn’t have the right to question the actions of this administration. That’s what they argued against me, a local Florida orthodontist, who decided to stand up against an administration who has taken the law into its own hands.

As an American, I simply can’t lie down and allow this administration to run roughshod all over the constitution. I can’t stay silent while a Congress of one (the President), decides to make and change laws based on his whims. That’s why I’ve decided to take my Obamacare federal lawsuit to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta.

I originally filed my lawsuit on October 1, 2013, with the help of Judicial Watch. As a local business owner I expended significant time, energy, and money in preparing for the employer mandate. However, with just one tweet, President Obama cancelled the entire employer mandate back in July of 2013 before heading out on a $100 million African vacation.

While I may not support Obamacare, I do support the constitution. The constitution says that Congress has the power to make the laws of this great land. The constitution says that it’s the President’s job to enforce the laws made by Congress.

Those were the grounds for my Obamacare lawsuit on the employer mandate. The President doesn’t have the constitutional authority to cancel a law (the employer mandate) for an entire year without Congressional approval. What if the President did so with another law? What if the next President decides to use that same power to cancel social security checks for a year? What if a President decides to stop paying pension payments to veterans and their families because it was a tough year financially?

We are not a nation of tweets. We are a nation of laws. And this administration needs to learn how to follow them.

I will do my part to help this administration learn that lesson. I remember why I decided to stand up against this administration who knows no limits.

I want the America that my children grow up in to be just as good if not better than the one that I grew up in. It is our responsibility to defend and protect our nation.

It is amazing that of all 16 of President Obama’s illegal waivers, there is only one legal challenge to the President’s rewrite of his own signature law. We appreciate all of the goodwill that Americans from all over the country have shown towards this fight for justice.
