Saving Thousands of Horses from Slaughter

By Saddlebred Rescue, Special for  USDR

Saddlebred Rescue has more than 10 horses that need immediate homes for the holidays.  Most of these horses have been at the rehab for an extended period of time.  The rescue has a successful evaluation and matching program for its adoption program, which means that each of these horses is suitable as a trail, lesson or pleasure horse.  Each horse that we can place means there is room to save more from slaughter.  Please contact the rescue at info@saddlebredrescue.com or the adoption hotline at 908-605-6032 to learn more about how you can help us to find homes for all of these horses during this holiday  season.

American Horse Adoption operated by Saddlebred Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit entity that has celebrated its 10 year anniversary this year.  We adopt horses to homes across the country. This is a United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) awarded program and a verified member of the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries  (GFAS).

“We have rescued and saved over 1,000 horses to date and have had great success in our adoption program,” notes Nealia McCracken, volunteer and head of rescue operations.  Thanks to the E.L. and Thelma Gaylord Foundation’s Matching Grant and all of our donors and supporters over the years we have been able to get the job done.  Each horse gets individual attention and the rescue has developed an effective evaluation and placement  system.

Follow us and see the horses on our website at www.saddlebredrescue.com, on Facebook at Saddlebred Rescue Inc. and Twitter at @sbraha12.  We need your help to keep this program funded and donations can be made through the website or by mail at our official address at 6 Meadow Cliff Lane in Hardwick, NJ  07825.
