Conference organizers of the Tech Superwomen Summit (TSWS) (techsuperwomensummit.com) today announced they have secured a great line-up of world-class experts to share insights into some of the most pressing issues facing women in the tech workplace today. The inaugural TSWS will take place January 29, 2015 in San Francisco at the Mission Bay Conference  Center.

The day’s agenda includes experts such as White House Tech Advisor Todd Park; Executive Director of Women Who Code Zassmin Montes de Oca; VP of Product for RelateIQ DJ Patil; FEC Chair Ann Ravel; and, VP of Trust and Safety for Twitter, Del  Harvey.

Speakers will discuss the current state of the STEM pipeline, the role for policy and the future of entrepreneurship and  women.

As a part of a scholarship partnership with Capital One, more than 60 students will be attending TSWS who are enrolled in rigorous STEM and business programs at top universities, such as Stanford, Berkeley, Columbia, Georgetown, Harvard and Carnegie Mellon. Student attendees are focused on various areas of study, including computer science, data science, business administration and biomedical engineering, while in their bachelor’s, masters, and Ph.D.  programs.

The Tech Superwomen Summit is committed to helping uncover the forces that are hindering women’s mobility in the tech workplace and is offering a venue for discussing ways to overcome these challenges. Organizers are bringing together influential women and men in STEM to break barriers and discuss issues that impact women in STEM and  entrepreneurship.

“We are thrilled to have such an amazing amount of support for our first conference,” said Cathryn Posey, Tech Superwomen Founder. “From our sponsors to our speakers, we have put together an event that will set the stage for a whole new follow-on dialogue to occur. That’s our mission – to create awareness for the issues and be a catalyst for  change.”

Additional sponsors include Google, Chef, OnDeck, Medium, New Relic, iTalent, Pandora, Breather and  CoTap.
