UK Conservatives get Impressive Turn Out

The polls are closed in the UK in the all important parliamentary election. This is what the international media are reporting:

A remarkable exit poll from the UK election, released moments after polls closed, are predicting David Cameron’s return to Downing  Street.

However, he would likely lead a precarious, minority government, surviving from vote to vote rather than at the head of a stable coalition, experts  said.

In a dramatic contradiction to pre-election polls, which had predicted a dead heat, the exit poll pointed to a strong Conservative showing as the largest party, a disappointing loss of seats for Labour, and a rout for the Liberal Democrats… (read  more)
