1) Ireland has Accidentally Legalized Psychoactive Substances– Hundreds of dangerous drugs were legal in Ireland for one day because of an accidental loophole. However, people were still advised that psychoactive drugs were still a legislative offence. Source: yahoo.com
2) Banning the American Flag?– University of California at Urvine’s student government has pushed to ban the American flag, as well as others, on campus. Their ban has since been overturned. However, this incident may reflect the U.S.’s changing patriotic views. Source: yahoo.com
3) UC Campuses Roiled over Claims of Anti-Israeli Bias– University of California campuses have had a long history of claims regarding religious biases. A recent case has UCLA’s Chancellor issuing a statement that characterizes uncomfortable political disagreements as unavoidable. He claims that it is “intellectually and morally unacceptable” for people to believe that every student isn’t motivated by some sort of bias. Source: latimes.com
