Mr. Obama now has the dubious distinction of passing President Truman for being the president who lost the most seats in a midterm election. It’s good to be known for something. Just another title to add to his long list of distinctions.
The GOP hasn’t seen these numbers for a while, holding 246 seats, compared to 188 for Democrats, with one race in Arizona still outstanding. The 246 seats match the total the GOP had from 1947 to 1949 when Harry S. Truman was president.
President Obama has been the best thing that has happened to the Republican Party in very recent history and has helped to drive home the point that, in all reality, it’s the current Democrat Party that is totally out of touch with the American people.
When the Majority of Americans feel that the country is going in the wrong direction and the president doubles down on his “direction” (or lack thereof) after the affirmation of that fact in the 2014 election, it shows he is out of touch. When the majority of Americans now feel that Obamacare was a wrong move and the president won’t work with both sides on fixing or amending it, it shows how out of touch he is. Or maybe he just feels like he really is a dictator. When the majority of Americans feel like our foreign policy is a failure and the president’s jobs policies aren’t really working and he continues on the same course, that shows exactly how out of touch he is.
And the award for using the most backward meanings of words goes to: Barak Obama!
Senator Obama stated he would not allow lobbyists to work in or influence his White house. Yet he hired over 100 lobbyists who were directly involved in his campaign.
After openly campaigning against GMO produced foods on the grounds that they “openly put toxins, allergens, and diseases in our food,” he appointed the head of Monsanto to run the FDA. You know, the company that produces the largest number of GMO foods in the world. He even got Mother Jones mad at him! That’s a big deal.
Senator Obama got after then-President Bush for getting behind the Patriot Act, specifically the portion that allowed the NSA to listen in without warrant. He said, and I quote,“It violated our right to privacy and if elected I will bring an end it.” Well, he didn’t say when! As we have learned, with the information released by Edward Snowden, the NSA spying actually increased under President Obama.
We keep waiting for our government to give us a real budget, (not another budget extension.) In his first few years of his presidency, President Obama owned the legislature, yet he could not get even ONE senatorial vote for his budget (maybe that’s why he gave up?) Even when the Democrats had the majority, Obama got no love from his home team! Now he keeps talking about how Congress can’t pass a budget! He’s forgetting that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid simply WON’T bring the House budget to floor for a vote!
He has stated that our relationships with our Middle East partners have never been better. Really?
And one of the latest… the ACA (Obamacare) has given 7 million more people healthcare. OK, let’s do a little 5th grade math here. First they expected over 9 million to sign up in the first year and to be well over 13 million the second year. Both of those milestones were blown!
Over 5 million people lost their healthcare due to the OBAMAcare guidelines for healthcare plans requiring many to sign up for healthcare on the OBAMAcare website. Come to find out, Medicaid plans were also being administered in many states from the OBAMAcare website and they counted those numbers as signups as well. When you blow away all the smoke and the dust, you come in at well under 2 million new policies for people who did not previously have them.
I could go on and on but that would be insanity.
Everybody is all excited about the recent job numbers last Thursday. If they were actually real, they would be great. But it’s the “Holiday Season” and although the government says they have adjusted for seasonal hiring, if you look back historically, this administration has repeatedly published exaggerated hiring numbers coming into holiday and summer seasons, then simply readjusted the numbers later. Interestingly, those adjusted numbers are usually released at the same time as some war or plane crash or country invasion happening overseas, because you never let a good crisis go to waste.
If there was an award for a reverse Medal of Honor, Mr. Obama would have it hands down. His grasp of the English language, where good is bad, right means wrong, left means right, up means down, and a lie is truth is ruining America.
So, in 2016, can we please stay away from “liberal community organizers” and gravitate toward candidates who have actual experience and successes running cities, towns, counties and states?! In other words… someone who doesn’t have to buy a clue.
