Speaking at a Citizens United-sponsored event on Thursday in National Harbor, Md., Media Research Center Pres. Brent Bozell said that the three branches of the conservatism are “fracturing right before our very eyes.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, those three branches (fiscal, foreign policy, and social) are fracturing right before our very eyes,” Bozell said. He blamed “Big Government” and “Big Tent” conservatism for splintering the “three arms” of the conservative movement:
“The first thing we have to do is take a hard look at ourselves, and folks, it’s not a comfortable look. But, until we take that hard look, we’re not going to succeed where we need to go. We, as conservatives, have been talking for 25 years about thefailure of Big Government conservatism.”
“I would propose to you that our movement is being splintered by Big Government and Big Tent conservatism.”
