Last week, MRCTV’s Dan Joseph ventured into Washington D.C. to ask residents about his white privilege. He didn’t get any discounts at the food stand, but he did conduct a lot of interviews with people who felt it existed in American society.
“Do you think there are certain — that whites have advantages that they have to work less hard in society to get places than people of color?” asked Joseph. The D.C. resident responded by saying “in certain spots.” Joseph followed up asking “what kind of places do they need to do that?” “Congress,” he said. Dan aptly noted that Barack Obama occupies the White House.
