Crafted from a headshot photograph submitted online, custom stainless steel heating inserts capture a subject’s full facial details, enabling the toaster’s heating elements to brown light or dark likenesses of the subject onto one side of each piece of toast.
“It’s always a delight when we can help solve problems while having fun,” explained Hammacher Schlemmer’s General Manager Fred Berns. “The toaster removes any question as to the ownership of the next two slices, hopefully reducing the number of toast tugs-of-war at breakfast.”
A complimentary Hammacher Schlemmer insert is included as an example of how the toaster operates; custom inserts will be sent separately approximately two weeks after the customer uploads a high-resolution digital image online using the included instructions.
