INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.
Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Eric Christianson, CEO Nutrient Survival.
In today’s extreme weather environment, disaster preparedness has become an essential aspect of life. National Preparedness Month is an observance each September – during peak hurricane a fire seasons – to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies.
- Emergency Communication Plan:Â Establish a clear communication plan with your family, friends, and neighbors.
- First Aid Kit:Â Assemble a comprehensive first aid kit that includes bandages, antiseptic wipes, medications, and any necessary medical supplies for your family’s specific needs.
- Flashlights and Batteries:Â Keep a supply of flashlights, lanterns, and extra batteries on hand for reliable illumination during power outages.
- Water and Food Supplies: Stockpile non-perishable food items, such as Nutrient Survival emergency food kits – which included essential nutrients – and a sufficient supply of clean water for at least three days per person. Iodine tables are recommended to treat water as well.
- Emergency Shelter:Â Prepare for sheltering in place or evacuation by having tents, sleeping bags, or other suitable shelter options readily available.
- Important Documents: Safeguard important documents such as identification, insurance policies, medical records, and contact information in a waterproof and portable container.
- Cash and Personal Items:Â Have a stash of cash, as ATMs may be inaccessible during disasters. Additionally, include personal hygiene items, clothing, and blankets.
- Tools and Supplies:Â Pack basic tools, like a multi-tool, duct tape, and work gloves, to address minor repairs and needs.
- Maps and Navigation Tools:Â Obtain local maps and a compass to aid in navigation, especially if GPS systems fail.
- Education and Training: Stay informed and take advantage of disaster preparedness courses and training available in your community. Knowledge is a powerful tool in times of crisis.
