INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Jeremy Murphy.

Price and Murphy discuss the Harris Presidential campaign and her avoidance when it comes to talking about important issues.

Kamala Harris’s reluctance to take clear positions on key issues is a strategy aimed at avoiding divisions among voters. However, this approach is ultimately harmful for voters, the media, and Harris herself. By not articulating her stance on important matters, Harris limits voters’ ability to make informed choices. Voters need to understand where a candidate stands to determine if their values align. Without this clarity, voters may feel alienated or uncertain, potentially leading to disengagement or a reluctance to support her at the polls.

For the media, failing to press Harris on her positions diminishes its role as a crucial intermediary in democracy. The media is responsible for ensuring that candidates are transparent and accountable to the public. When the media doesn’t challenge Harris to clarify her views, it neglects its duty to inform the electorate, weakening public trust and the democratic process.

Harris’s strategy, while intended to maintain broad appeal, may backfire. Voters often seek candidates who demonstrate clear convictions and a willingness to take a stand on important issues. By avoiding taking positions, Harris risks appearing indecisive or insincere, which can alienate potential supporters and reduce voter enthusiasm. This lack of clarity could lead to a lower voter turnout, especially among those who are undecided or who need more concrete reasons to support her candidacy.

In the end, while trying to avoid dividing voters, Harris may find that without clear positions, she risks losing the very support she needs to win. Additionally, if elected, the absence of strong policy commitments could hinder her effectiveness in governing, as she would lack a clear mandate from voters on how to address the nation’s challenges.
