Human Capitalism

However strange it may seem to be debating the merits of capitalism, specifically free-market capitalism, in today’s political environment, the one thing that gets lost in the discussion is the true beneficiary of such. While we may have differing opinions on the evils of greed as relates to freedom of prosperity, we should not lose sight of the real winners in such a system. The marvel of a free-market is it’s absolute tolerance of all participants. Free-market capitalism is the most tolerant of all systems in the free world. When the bottom line is the dollar and who will make that dollar for you, one does not ask what race, creed or religion is the provider of said dollar. The pursuit of profit will not be saddled with such mundane human frailties as racism or prejudice. Profit is the great equalizer.

A system which celebrates the profit motive, allows participation by all who are willing to sacrifice capital or effort, monitors the legality of all transactions and rewards those who prevail in the market place is the most tolerant and fair system known to Man. The tragedy of our incomprehensible recognition of same, is the loss of human capital. It is not the waste of tax dollars that bespeaks the misery of socialism/Marxism; it is the waste of our human resource…our people, our citizens, our family, our friends and our neighbors.

There is not a man or woman alive who in a moment of honesty will not admit that earning a living and supporting their family either through labor for pay or labor for love of family, is the most important factor in their happiness and contentment with life on earth. At the end of one’s life, when the last breath is nigh, no self-respecting human being will reflect on a time when something was given to them as the moment to which they attach the greatest pride. All, when facing the grim reaper, will inevitably reflect on a great accomplishment as their greatest joy. Granted, that accomplishment may be outside of economic pursuit, but it will most certainly be something that was attained personally without charity from others.

This is not to say that charity is not valuable. When given freely it is the most noble of human pursuits. But charity received is not what defines us as human beings. Pursuit and accomplishment is the goal of all human activity. Pursuit of success, pursuit of real faith, pursuit of extension of self through family, pursuit of knowledge; all are bedrocks of human civilization. The tragedy of misplaced charity in the form of unearned or undeserved benefit is the loss of value to life itself. We can print new dollars infinitum, and it will only devalue the dollar. Just as we can ‘print’ sufficiency infinitum, only at the cost of self respect.

America is having a soul-searching moment in history. Our desire to be good and to do good and to help our neighbors has been perverted into a system of supporting the most evil of all good intentions; lack of faith in our fellow Man. I believe in you. I believe that you are a most special and unique human being. As such, I believe that the most efficient way to allow you to achieve your greatest potential, is to allow you to pursue it unrestrained by the machinations of an elite bourgeoisie who are so brazen as to suppose that they know what is better for you. If you stumble, I will right you. If you fall, I will help you up. If you are physically unable to proceed I will invent a prosthetic for you. But I will never carry you. To do so would be to dishonor your spirit and your special place amongst Mankind.

The price that we pay for illegitimate and unconstitutional government is not the loss of tax dollars. We can all work harder and make another buck; it is the loss of human dignity, the loss of innovation, the loss of invention, the loss or participation, the loss of your special contribution to us all that hurts the most. This is the tragedy of the lazy relinquishment of Liberty to those who pretend to know better than we. Rise up! Refuse condescension! Refuse charity want of love! Rise to the potential that God Himself infused into your very DNA! Reject all forms of tyranny disguised as assistance! Yours is a life produced, emboldened, inspired, glorified and specified by God Almighty! Make good His gamble. Reach higher than you possibly could imagine. And most importantly, scoff at all who suppose you are incapable of greatness. It is in fact their own arrogance, prejudice or inadequacy which drives their vacuous claims of support.

The answer to all of the ills of a world gone mad lies within…You. May God continue to Bless You.
