Presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich will address and answer questions from members of a coalition of major nationwide business groups in a TeleForum this Thursday, December 10. Kasich is the fourth leading presidential candidate to accept the invitation to speak to members of the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Associated General Contractors, the Business-Industry Political Action Committee, the National Association of Manufacturers, the National Federation of Independent Business, and the National Retail Federation.
The call will start at 3:20 p.m. EST with Kasich joining at 3:30 p.m. to answer questions for approximately 45 minutes. Members of the media are invited to listen in on the session and report on the questions and answers. To participate, press should send an e-mail toAndrew.firstname.lastname@example.org with their media outlet clearly identified. A link to listen live online will be sent shortly before the call starts. Those who signed up for the previous calls with Sen. Marco Rubio, Gov. Jeb Bush, and Sen. Ted Cruz will automatically be on the list of invited media.
The other candidates still invited to speak with the groups are (in alphabetical order):
- Dr. Ben Carson
- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
- Former HP CEO Carly Fiorina
- Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee
- Senator Bernie Sanders
- Businessman Donald Trump
The candidates qualified for the initial invitation by maintaining at least 4 percent in the Real Clear Politics average of polls during the period starting from the first GOP debate and ending on Labor Day. Should additional candidates average at least 4 percent for a 30-day time period prior to the start of voting, an invitation to participate will be sent to them.
