Former governor Rick Perry (R-TX) gave a serious “red meat” speech at the national conservative event, CPAC. He told the enthusiastic crowd that the nation will survive Obama, like it survived Carter, but it is clear the country needs to move in a different direction. The “take away” that people are carrying with them through out the day was about the unemployment numbers which he described as a “sham” leaving “millions” off the radar screen because of how government agencies measure it. This appears to be a prelude to another presidential campaign for Perry. He received enthusiastic applause, it will be interesting to see how he does in debates, which proved his downfall in his efforts in 2012.
