3 Incredible U.S. Road Trips

Read Time:2 Minute, 46 Second

Across the length and breadth of the U.S., from the East Coast to the West Coast, there can be found a host of incredible road trips. You might not be able to enjoy them all in your lifetime, but you can definitely give one or two of them a go!

To find three American road trips that you should consider embarking on, be sure to read on.

New York to Boston

Is there any better way to start a traveling experience than exploring New York City? No matter when you head to the Big Apple, even if the winter snows are falling at the time, you will be sure to have the time of your life while you are there.

As this is a road trip that you’ve come to America to enjoy, the fun doesn’t stop there. Pick up your vehicle of choice from any of the USA car rental locations dotted around NYC, including JFK Airport and Laguardia Airport, and hit the road. Your ultimate destination? Boston!

Embarking on the New York to Boston road trip will see you travel along the Atlantic Coast, passing through Cape Cod as you do. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy pristine beaches and quaint fishing villages that will help you to unwind before you carry on with the remainder of your trip. Once in Boston, you will be able to walk the ‘Freedom Trail’ and really get a feel for America’s Pilgrim history.

The Blue Ridge Parkway

If you’re interested in the drive itself rather than stopping in all manner of destinations, then the Blue Ridge Parkway road trip is the one for you. This stretch of road, which snakes through the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and ends up in North Carolina, was, quite simply, built with the joy of driving in mind. When you venture on this road, you’ll pass scenery that is like no other in the U.S., and you’ll be able to enjoy a great deal of twists and turns along the way.

If you want to see the Blue Ridge Parkway in all of its glory, you should journey upon it during the fall — the golden trees that sit on the road’s edges are truly a sight to behold. The speed limit in place for most of this journey is 45 mph, and you shouldn’t exceed it if you want to enjoy the leisurely kind of drive that this road was built for.

The Overseas Highway: Miami to Key West

If it’s sea views that you’re after, then the Overseas Highway road trip is most certainly an adventure you should embark upon. Crossing 42 bridges, this trip will take you from Miami to Key West. Along the way, you’ll be able to see the Atlantic Ocean at every turn — quite literally, at every turn! The fact that the Atlantic can be seen on both sides is what makes this an unrivaled road trip route.

Is it your dream to head on an incredibly U.S. road trip? If so, then make sure to consider embarking on any of the three journeys listed above… or maybe even all three of them.
