Does Iran Know?

Iranian FlagOne has to ask, if Iran realizes what a complete and utter joke, albeit a petty, vicious, dangerous joke, they have become. In targeting those who are not Muslim, they arrest, imprison and subject to untold tortures, those who refuse to recant their belief in a god other than Allah. For Youcef Nadarkhani, it has become a dangerous, and deadly, farce.

Arrested two years ago for being a Christian in a Muslim nation, imprisoned and tortured for that length of time, then charged, tried, and convicted of apostasy, Nadarkhani’s life is now hanging in the balance. The Iranian courts, being an Islamic judiciary, promptly sentenced Pastor Nadarkhani to death by hanging. This prompted an outcry from the world that apparently caused Iran’s courts to begin dancing a judicial jig to a ridiculous tune.

Shortly after the outcry from the world, it was reported:

1.  On 2 October 2011, it was reported he was guilty of rape and being a Zionist, although there was no sign of those charges in the court documents.

2.  On 3 October 2011, it was reported that he wasn’t being put to death for apostasy, the only crime he was convicted of, but for being a Zionist and a threat to national security. (CBN)

3.  On 5 October 2011, they accused Nadarkhani, who is still refusing to recant his belief in Jesus Christ, of operating a brothel. (FoxNews)

4.  On 6 October 2011, (CBN) is reporting an increased fear for the safety of Youcef Nadarkhani as one ridiculous charge after another is levied against by the religious authorities driving the Iranian courts.

One thing is certain, they are determined to put Youcef Nadarkhani to death for daring to declare Allah a false god, and refusing to recant his belief in Jesus Christ. That is the only reason they want to murder him. And they want him to suffer. The Iranian government is proving to be a petty, dangerous, vicious, entity incapable of being reasoned with, operating with a 5-year-old temper tantrum mentality. Sadly, they have the power, and the lack of moral fiber, to be only too willing to carry out the death sentence of this innocent man.

The question I have is simply this, what is driving Iran? Why do they care what the world thinks? I don’t think they do, so what game are they playing? Additionally, do they realize what a dangerous joke they have become as each day brings a new false charge against Nadarkhani.

One of the most beautiful things about America is our 1st Amendment right to worship whom we will, as long as it doesn’t infringe on the religious rights of another. The U.S. Constitution is a document of beauty and strength which protects the American citizen from the these types of abuses. There is no such protection in Iran.

This convert-by-the-sword mentality of Iran, is the very antithesis of all that is good and right in the world. It is positively medieval, and it is Sharia Law which allows no freedom of thought or action, and Muslims are trying to call for in the neighborhoods and cities in America. It is this law which is responsible for the upcoming death of Youcef Nadarkhani.
