When asked whether President Barack Obama has the constitutional authority to act on climate change without congressional approval, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said, “it is wrong, it’s unconstitutional.”
CNSNews.com asked: “Does Obama have the constitutional authority to address climate change without congressional approval?”
“It depends on what he does. If he sends a nice letter saying climate change is real, which I believe, climate change is real. Absolutely, it’s a fact. It’s a fact of life. Four times a year we have climate change, it’s a real thing.”
“So if the President sends letters saying, I believe in climate change, that’s fine, but if he intends to legislate from the executive mansion, it is wrong, it’s unconstitutional.”
