Three years ago tonight, every American who lived through the 9/11 terrorist attacks finally saw justice done.
Osama bin Laden was killed in a raid by a team of Navy SEALs onSunday May 1st, 2011. After news broke late Sunday night, President Obama took to the podium in the East Room and announced the operation and its successful outcome.
Following the president’s remarks, thousands of Americans flooded the area around the White House to celebrate the end to the most infamous terrorist in American history.
