Today, The Federal Accountability Caucus praised Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) for expressing the need to hold President Obama accountable to the Federal Laws and Constitutional statues his administration violated through the unlawful negotiation and execution of the Iran Nuclear  Treaty.

“I would submit, I’m not going say what you anticipated, that we don’t have enough votes. What I would say to you is there are not enough people in the country, across America, that want him removed from office before his office is over,” Louie Gohmert said while co-hosting Washington Watch.  He then signaled for help from citizens, “. . . but the will of the American people is just not there, and that’s my problem. He has done grave damage and this Iran deal, it’s really a treaty, he’s lied about it up and down, and now we’re finding out Iran is violating the treaty, yet this administration is defending Iran and betraying Israel right and left.” Rep. Gohmert went on to claim that the Obama Administration accused Israel of “war crimes and  terrorism.”

The Federal Accountability Caucus has exposed President Barack Obama’s egregious violations of the United States Constitution and Federal Law by his orders and directives to initiate, negotiate and execute the Iran Nuclear Treaty (“JCPOA”) and by his executive orders approving the release of approximately $11.9 billion USD to Iran prior to signing the JCPOA without United States Congressional approval. The President also issued executive orders to the U.S. Government on October 18, 2015, the JCPOA Adoption Day, to initiate the removal of Iranian Sanctions. President Obama has now violated the following Federal  Laws:

1.) United States Constitution – Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 Treaties
2.) United States Constitution – Article III, Section 3 Treason
3.) United States Federal Law – U.S. Code 2339B Providing material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations
4.) United States Federal Law – H.R. 1905 Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act (ITRA) Section 218 (a), (b), (c), (d) & (h.)(1.)
5.) United States Federal Law – H.R.1191 Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act
6.) United States Federal Law – Iran Sanctions Act (ISA)
7.) United States Federal Law – H.R. 2194 – Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act (CISADA)

In order to preserve the integrity of the current and future Office of the Presidency and to protect the integrity of the United States Constitution and Federal Laws, the Federal Accountability Caucus has released a comprehensive draft Impeachment Resolution: Articles I-VII and accompanying Discharge Petition that detail President Obama’s impeachable violations relating to the Iran Treaty  (JCPOA).

As Louie Gohmert summarized on the radio, the House of Representatives has the votes to impeach the President but the House needs to hear the OUTCRY from the American people in order to begin the impeachment  process.

If you are a Citizen of the United States, please Tweet, call or email your U.S. House Representative immediately and insist that they 1.) uphold the Constitution and Federal Law and 2.) immediately Impeach President Obama before more damage is done to the United States, to the Constitution, and to our Allies. If you need the contact information or Twitter handle for your Congressmen/ Congresswomen, please visit www.FACaucus.org, complete the form, select your State of Residence, and click the “Submit to Authorize Impeachment Resolution” button. The contact information and Twitter handle for your Congressmen/Congresswomen will be provided on the next  page.

Your Representatives need to hear your strong and unified voice. When at least one Congressman from the House of Representatives files the definitive Impeachment Resolution, and at least 218 Congressional signatures are collected in favor of the associated Discharge Petition, an immediate House vote will be required for the Impeachment Resolution, regardless of the Speaker’s position for or against the Impeachment Resolution. The House of Representatives holds the power to impeach the President with a simple majority (218 member) vote. Upon impeachment, the President will face trial by the US Senate and will be removed from office by a 2/3’s majority  vote.
