On October 19, 2016, artists from across the country will come together for SUPERFIERCE, a traveling art exhibit by female artists paying it forward. The inaugural event, SUPERFIERCE DC, will take place at 6:30 pm in Washington, D.C. at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (1250 New York Ave.,  N.W.).

Maggie O’Neill, a fine artist and co-founder of design and fabrication firm SwatchRoom, created SUPERFIERCE with the goal of providing a supportive and judgment free environment for female artists to come together, learn about business best practices, and give back to female-focused charities. “I am incredibly fortunate to have such remarkable female mentors who have helped me reach new heights as an artist, an entrepreneur and business professional,” said O’Neill. “When I graduated from art school, I sensed a huge void in our industry and wanted to provide an opportunity for women to come together, grow as professionals and build each other up, personally and  professionally.”
