Treasury Sec. Jack Lew will hold an “off-the-record” conference call with business leaders to provide them with an update on the government shutdown and debt limit showdown, a White House e-mail announced yesterday.
The e-mail, titled “Invitation to National Business Leader Call” invites business leaders to sign up, call, listen in, and ask questions of Lew and other administration officials – as long as they don’t report it:
