College Choice (http://www.collegechoice.net) has published its second annual ranking of most affordable online colleges for bachelor’s degrees. The ranking can be viewed at http://www.collegechoice.net/rankings/most-affordable-online-colleges-2016/.

Katie Amondson, Associate Editor for College Choice, says, “Finding the most affordable online bachelor’s degree programs can be a challenge. To help cut through the confusion, College Choice has compiled this ranking to help prospective students discern which online programs are most  affordable.”

All regionally accredited schools with at least five online bachelor’s degree programs were considered and the total cost of each program was calculated. Often the actual cost of an online education is difficult to determine as many schools incorporate fees not directly tied to tuition. These fees come in a wide range of types and amounts and, when added to the overall cost of attendance, can amount to thousands of dollars. Knowing what these fees are and how they impact the total cost to complete an online bachelor’s degree helps potential students make more fully informed  decisions.

“With our ranking of most affordable colleges for bachelor’s degree programs, we aimed to cut through some of the fog involved in determining the true cost of an online education,” said Jeremy Alder, Managing Editor of College  Choice.

Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS tops the list, followed by Rasmussen College, Maitland, FL, and Baker College, Flint,  MI.
