Hillary and Obama to Appear on Discovery’s Snapchat Channel

Following FUSION’s presentation of The Iowa Brown and Black Forum on Monday, FUSION hosted former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on its Snapchat Discover channel to discuss the power of being a woman in today’s society. “There’s never been a better time in human history to be born a girl,” she said when FUSION caught up with her on the campaign trail. The special “Gender Equality” edition featuring Clinton is a continuation of FUSION’s ongoing multi-platform engagement with millennials on the issues that matter to the country’s increasingly diverse  population.

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders previously spoke to FUSION on Snapchat about inequality and student debt while President Obama addressed climate change on the social channel in advance of his final State of the Union Address. In addition, country music recording artist Cassadee Pope (“The Voice”) used FUSION’s Snapchat Discover channel as a platform to discuss female empowerment and to exclusively premiere her music video for “I Am  Invincible.”

After serving a global audience on Snapchat Discover’s international offering since the platform debuted nearly a year ago, FUSION launched a limited-run on Discover’s U.S. and U.K. offering December 7, 2015. Snapchat is one element of FUSION’s multi-platform efforts to reach millennials everywhere they consume content. FUSION reaches approximately 25 million people across its TV, digital, social, and OTT platforms each  month.
